Overview
I work primarily with women, aged thirty to 85 and am also open to working with men. I work both in person and online.
My goal is to help people find their true voice and have that voice as a guide for their lives. To achieve this, I work with people, giving them a safe place to articulate their upset feelings in the present and then helping them to make connections to unresolved issues from the past. As an attachment- oriented psychotherapist, I believe that most of our current difficulties originate in hurtful experiences from our early childhoods and that those experiences need to be expressed, reviewed, contextualized and then can be released.
The ambiance of my work environment is receptive, loving, interested, warm.
I also run two groups: a group for elders and a supervision group for LSWs and LCSWs.
The Elders group gives people over 65 the chance to talk about whatever is on their minds, feel connected to others and gain some insight into their lives.
The supervision group offers clinical social workers a friendly and engaging space to discuss cases and receive feedback and support.
